I love this microwave. Easy to use and easy to clean. Does not take up a lot of counter space and not bulky.
My only issue is the cord... could be a little longer. The length dictated the placement of the microwave on my counter.

I needed a small microwave to fit a specific shelf. This GE fits the space perfectly and does what I need it to...warm up small portions without scorching. It seems more powerful than 700 watts. Don't discount this model because you think it will disappoint-it won't IMO.

I've been a fan of GE for years and, needing a new microwave, GE was my go-to brand. This model is good looking and the right size for my space, However I find it needlessly complicated - and there is no instruction book included. I had to request one since I
was unable to figure out how to make it 'go'! It's my first diappointment with a GE product.

This is our second GE microwave, and the second countertop one too. It fits everything we need to fit in, from large glass bowls to large plates of food for lunch. I like how you can hit 30 seconds to add time while the food is being heated in the microwave. Very nice!

we purchased this microwave after the exact model quit after 9 months. After contacting Best Buy & GE several times, filling out forms ect... the pretend 'warrantee' mean exactly nothing. But, this is the only microwave that will fit in our space, so we had no choice but to repurchase the same microwave.
Wish us luck... but don't think that GE will back up their warrantee - they won't.

We had a 24" spacemaker and decided to go smaller with this 18" size. The wattage is less so it take slightly longer than the bigger models, but it is hardly noticeable. The inside fits a very large dinner plate so we have had no issues with fitting anything in. The only thing I thought it had but doesn't is the screw holes on top to attach to the underside of an upper cabinet. I may have purchase a model that does not offer that so it might be my fault. We built a nice shelf to sit it on and it actually looks better that way.

I have this in a van. It warms food as expected. Since it runs off an inverter the power is off most of the time and it loses time and other settings. Some of the error messages are entertaining. For example, if I out food in the microwave, then turn on the inverter, then push the quick cook buttons the microwave beeps and displays "FOOD". All you have to do is open the door, close it again, and then press a quick start button. The only problem is that the error message is very uninformative and I had to look it up in the user manual. Be sure to keep the manual around, as many of the functions are not intuitive. Once you get used to it, everything works OK.
It seems pretty rugged. I drive dirt roads and have this bolted in to the galley cabinet in my van. Still alive many months later.

My old GE microwave finally quit working after 10 years or so. It was time to buy a new one. I wanted a smaller model to free up some counter space and almost did not buy this model because some of the reviews said a dinner plate would not fit in it. I wanted to be able to heat up meals on my plate. I was very pleasantly surprised to find that my Fiesta Ware plates fit in this microwave just fine!

I needed a small microwave under 700 watts for my dorm room. This one looks great, and is clearly high quality. It is small enough to fit on the mini-fridge and have enough room for the Keurig. This means that items have to be pretty small. Given the low wattage, it would take a long time to heat anything larger regardless of if it fit. Pressing a number makes it automatically go for that number of minutes at full power, which is fine. You can manually enter a time and power as well.
Definitely recommend this over the cheap off-brand ones sold at Walgreens and the like.
